On September 2 President Alexander Lukashenko met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus, Muntaser Abu Zaid, in connection with the expiry of the diplomat’s term in office.
Since the year 2007 Muntaser Abu Zaid has been the doyen of the diplomatic corps in Belarus.

The Head of State has expressed hope that Muntaser Abu Zaid will continue to be a friend of our country.
‘I think it will not be long before our relations with Palestine will reach a new level, because we have every opportunity and created a basis for building up our trade and economic co-operation. You may rest assured that Belarus will always abide by the line it has been following recently,’ said Alexander Lukashenko.
