On Licensing of Certain Types of Business Activities

With a view to liberalizing business conditions in the country, the Decree abolishes the licensing of 16 types of business activities, seven of which comprise 59 types of works (services), and around 60 types of works (services) within other 13 types of business activities remain subject to licensing; combination of two types of business activities into one.

The purpose of the Decree is ensuring proper regulation in the field of licensing; the document provides for adopting the Provisions on the Licensing of Certain Types of Business Activities with an attached list of the types of business activities subject to special permits (licenses), and the list of the state bodies and other organisations authorised to issue the permits (licenses).

The Provisions consists of two sections. The first section regulates general licensing matters; the second one regulates licensing with regard to particular types of business activities.

The Decree enters into force on 1 January 2011.
