President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of greetings to President Islam Karimov of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the people of this country on the occasion of their national holiday, Independence Day.

‘I am convinced that the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan will make every effort to fulfil the considerable potential of bilateral relations they have, develop friendly relations on the basis of respect, mutual assistance and consideration for the interests of both countries for the good of our peoples,’ the letter of greetings runs.
