The traditional holiday of September 1st is filled with new substance today. The popular phrase ‘Knowledge is Power’ gains on a special meaning in modern society where scientific discoveries and innovation technologies are becoming the main driving force of social progress, and a man, in order to keep up with the times, learns something new all the time throughout his life.

The Belarusian system of education is a source of national pride, an asset that helps us achieve success and recognition in the world. In compliance with modern-day requirements, the priorities of the social policy are improving the substance and the quality of education. The State guarantees equal conditions for self-realisation, intellectual growth and development as an active citizen to everyone.

Dear pupils, undergraduate and postgraduate students,

The years of study is the time when you are not simply receiving education, but growing as personalities, hardening your character and getting true friends. May you climb the highest peaks, accomplish your most ambitious dreams and may your academic performance records feature only A marks.

Distinguished teachers and educators, please accept my special gratitude for your noble services to the ideals of education. May your hearts be warmed by the successes of your students, may your intellectual investment in them repay a hundredfold!
