President Alexander Lukashenko has signed into effect Decree No 370 on decorating 33 Belarusians with state awards – orders, medals and honorary titles – in recognition of their professional excellence and considerable personal contribution to road construction, manufacturing industry, education, health protection, science and culture.

The artist Nikolai Kazakevich, a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, has been awarded Francysk Skaryna Orders.

The medal ‘For Distinction in Labour’ has been conferred on Dmitry Ovsyannikov, Dmitry Volchek, Natalia Vanina, Fyodor Kaputsky, Sergei Kuznetsov, Ivan Chemerko, Leonid Shvindler.

Viktor Barabantsev, associate professor at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, has received a Francysk Skaryna Medal.

The honorary title ‘People’s Artist of Belarus’ has been awarded to Vladimir Tovstik; the honorary title ‘Merited Cultural Worker of the Republic of Belarus’ has been conferred on Alexander Averkov, Natalia Beryozkina, Vladimir Slinchenko; the honorary title ‘Merited Scientist of the Republic of Belarus’ has been awarded to Vladimir Klubovich; the honorary title ‘Merited Builder of the Republic of Belarus’ has been awarded to Alexander Kolkov.
