A trial consignment of 80,000 tonnes of Venezuela oil will be shipped to Belarus in May 2010. All in all, Venezuela will deliver up to 4 million tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2010. A relevant contract was signed in Caracas following the talks between Presidents of Belarus and Venezuela Alexander Lukashenko and Hugo Chavez.

New areas of Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation were identified in the course of the current visit. They were high on the agenda of the meeting between the heads of state. Following the meeting the sides signed a package of 22 documents on cooperation in petrochemistry, manufacturing industry, construction, power engineering, science and technology.

Belarus and Venezuela made good progress in cooperation in gas sector.

Belarus and Venezuela agreed on a large consignment of Belarusian equipment. Belarus will supply Venezuela with 1,300 road and construction equipment (MAZ, BelAZ, Amkodor, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant) to the tune of $199 million.
