On 11 March 2010 an official delegation of the Republic of Belarus will attend the celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the restoration of independence of Lithuania. The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Burya.
President Alexander Lukashenko has informed President Dalia Grybauskaitė of the Republic of Lithuania of this decision in a letter of response.
Alexander Lukashenko has thanked his colleague sincerely for the invitation and pointed to the big potential for mutually beneficial cooperation that Belarus and Lithuania have in politics, economy and culture.
Having underscored the importance of strengthening dialogue at the top state level, the President of Belarus has confirmed his invitation for the Head of the Lithuanian State to visit the Republic of Belarus. |
