President Alexander Lukashenko Meets With Premier Sergei Sidorsky To Receive His Report14.10.2010

On October 14 President Alexander Lukashenko met with Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky to receive his report.

The Prime Minister informed the President on the agenda of the next session of the Union State Council of Ministers due in Moscow on October 15. The agenda of the session includes 30 issues.

The Union State government is set to examine the execution of the Union State budget in 2010, next year’s budget, trade and economic cooperation in January-September and trade relations with the Russian Federation. In the post-crisis year the trade between Belarus and Russia has been growing at a good pace, which gives reason to expect good results by the end of the year. The Council of Ministers will also “identify the areas where the two countries could add up to achieve even better trade results,” Sergei Sidorsky noted.

The Union State Council of Ministers will also discuss military-political cooperation, in particular the issues related to the protection of the joint border, status of implementation of the agreements reached at the last meeting of the Supreme State Council in Moscow.
