President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of congratulation to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill in connection with an anniversary of his enthronement.

In his letter of congratulation to Patriarch Kirill, the Belarusian President said, "The peoples of Belarus and Russia have always treasured their friendship and mutual respect." "We are united by our common history and culture based on the high ideals and values of Orthodoxy," added the President in his letter of congratulation.
