This year, the national harvest festival Dažynki-2010 will take place during the second ten-day period of September in Lida District, Grodno Region. The related Executive Order was signed by the President of the Republic of Belarus on 5 January.

Ivan Bambiza, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, has been authorised to head the organising committee responsible for the preparation of the festival.

According to the tradition, the festival will celebrate the winners of national competitions for the best harvesters of grain-crops, leguminous plants, best flax growers and best producers of cattle-breeding goods. Dažynki 2009 will also feature the winners of the national contest "Land Management with High Standards of Farming, Improvement of Engine Yards, Cattle Farms and Complexes."
