The President of the Republic of Belarus has signed the laws ratifying 13 international treaties aimed at building a legislative framework for the EurAsEC’s Customs Union.
Among other documents, the Head of State signed the law ratifying the protocol determining the conditions of and procedure for applying, in exceptional cases, the rates of import duties that differ from the rates specified by the uniform customs tariff. The purpose of this protocol is to ensure the Customs Union pursues a common international trade policy. The President also signed the protocol on providing tariff privileges and the protocol on the unified system of tariff preferences of the Customs Union.
The Head of State signed the laws on ratifying the Agreement on the Secretariat of the Commission of the Customs Union and the protocol on the exchange of information necessary for the customs authorities of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia to identify and oversee the customs cost of goods. |
