On Declaring the Year 2010 the Year of Quality

With the view of increasing further the quality of life of the Belarusian people, which implies ensuring a faster economic growth and increased competitiveness of the national economy, production modernisation by implementing state-of-the-art technologies, dynamic development of science and education, dramatic improvements in labour and living conditions of the population, rise in their wellbeing, improvements in the culture of inter-human relations, I hereby rule as follows:

1. To declare the year 2010 the Year of Quality in the Republic of Belarus.
