On Introducing Amendments and Additions to the Traffic Regulations

On 17 December President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No 634 adjusting the effective Traffic Regulations.

The Decree was prepared on the orders of the Head of State in response to a collective appeal from Belarusian citizens asking to remove the legal restrictions on tinting windows of motor vehicles.

The Decree permits, as from 17 December 2009, participation in road traffic of motor vehicles with factory tinted front and rear side and rear windows, without limitations on the percentage of light transmittance.

This document permits the import and use of US- and European-made motor vehicles with low light transmittance glasses which are marked and certified in accordance with international requirements. It will not affect road safety.
