The President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has sent a letter of congratulation to the Chancellor of the Federative Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, on the winning by the Christian Democratic Union /Christian Social Union of the elections to the German Bundestag, which will allow Angela Merkel to continue her tenure as the Chancellor of Germany.
