‘It can be stated objectively that although the formation and development of Belarusian statehood has been accompanied by some difficulties, there is no rampant crime in this country, no mass manifestations of extremism and anticonstitutional actions. There has been a positive downward trend in crime rate in recent years. However, there are still many problems. The main aim of the comprehensive inspection of the Procuracy and of today’s meeting is to develop and implement measures to enhance the effectiveness of the bodies of the Procuracy,’ said President Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting on the activity of the Procuracy of the Republic of Belarus.
