On 2 July President Alexander Lukashenko signed decrees on promoting a number of Belarusian servicemen and members of the law enforcement bodies to new military and special ranks.
In particular, Major-General Yuri Zhadobin and Major-General Vadim Zaitsev have been promoted to the military rank of Lieutenant-Generals.
Colonels Stanislav Zas, Andrei Gorulko and Igor Lavrinenko have been promoted to the military rank of Major-Generals.
The special rank of Major-General of the internal service has been conferred on Colonel Alexander Goncharov of the internal service; the special rank of state advisor at the customs service, 3rd rank, has been conferred on Leonid Dosov, deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus. |
