The healing art has always been the most revered and noble of crafts. Daily care for nation’s health, prevention of diseases, bringing ill people back to healthy life – all this attaches a special status to medical workers, people providing a vital service to the public.

Today it is possible to state confidently that your efforts have contributed to the achievement of one of the key objectives of our state and the health care system – you have fostered positive health and demographic trends by increasing human lifespan, cutting death rate and the rate of dangerous diseases. Facilitating the progress of medical science and making medical care more accessible to the public are critical elements of the state social policy.

We are paying homage to the selfless work done by medical researchers, medical practitioners, junior- and middle-ranking medical officers, pharmaceutists, and chemists to maintain the health and life of people. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your daily humane labour.
