To the command, personnel, veterans of the border service bodies of the Republic of Belarus

Dear comrades,

Please accept my sincere congratulations to you on Border Guards Day.

Our history abounds with vivid examples of true heroism and courage, valour and fortitude displayed by the fearless defenders of the Motherland’s frontiers. Border guards have always been the first to take the brunt of enemies’ attacks.

Celebrating the 65^th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi occupants this year, we are also paying tribute to the feat of arms of the border guards who were the first to engage in an unequal fight with the occupants. Defending every inch of the native land, they laid the foundation of the forthcoming Great Victory.

Today’s generation of Belarusian border guards worthily continues the glorious traditions of their forerunners. You are demonstrating remarkable vigilance, combat skills, loyalty to your military oath and duty. By your martial work you are doing much to enforce the state border policy, help defend the economic interests of the country, fight the organised crime at the border and help expand international economic ties.

I am expressing confidence that the border service bodies of the Republic of Belarus will continue to achieve successfully their challenging objectives.

On this remarkable day I wish all border defenders, veterans of the border service and members of your families good health, happiness, wellbeing and success in your duty for the good of our Motherland – the Republic of Belarus.
