An official letter of thanks of the President of the Republic of Belarus was given to six citizens of the country. An executive order to this effect was signed by Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on 21 May.

In recognition of the outstanding performance and professionalism displayed during the joint operational and strategic and command and staff exercise ‘Bastion-Antiterror-2008’, official letters of thanks were given to Major Sergei Zubkov of border guard unit No 1250; Senior Lieutenant Natalia Kalinovskaya of the same unit; deputy head of the 317^th guard mobile battalion of the 103^rd separate guard mobile brigade of the Armed Forces, Captain Dmitry Maltsev; commander of a special task force of military unit No 97020 of the Armed Forces, Senior Lieutenant Valery Markevich.

In recognition of the long fruitful work in forensic examination and exemplary fulfilment of his duties, an official letter of thanks was presented to Nikolai Kulinchik, head of the Mogilev Region department of the state forensic examination service.
