The Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State, President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has congratulated President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation and a number of Russian policy makers and public figures on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
The President has also sent letters of congratulations to Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State, Prime Minister of Russia; Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia; Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia; Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
Alexander Lukashenko has also congratulated Sergey Naryshkin, Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation; Pavel Borodin, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State; Governor Boris Gromov of the Moscow Region; Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov; Yevgeny Primakov, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
‘The centuries-long brotherhood and shared history serve as a strong foundation for furthering effective Belarusian-Russian co-operation in all areas’, said the Belarusian President in his letter of congratulations to President Dmitry Medvedev.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed his gratitude to Dmitry Medvedev for his comprehensive support to the integration processes between the two countries. ‘I am confident that Belarusian-Russian union state relations will continue to strengthen for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries’, said the Belarusian President. |
