Dear countrymen,
I cordially congratulate you on Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus.
The adoption of the Main Law was a momentous event for our country, an crucial landmark in the formation of Belarus’ statehood.
The Constitution continued the democratic traditions of the Belarusian people, opened new opportunities for reviving the nation’s intellectual and cultural values. The main provisions of the Constitution are aimed at preserving socio-political stability in the society, protecting rights and liberties of the citizens, ensuring well co-ordinated and effective work of all branches of power.
The Constitution is the nucleus of the nation’s legal system; defines the meaning and contents of other legal acts.
We use the Main Law as the basis for making people’s lives decent and happy. Today the Republic of Belarus is a country with vibrant economy. The Belarusians have an opportunity to work creatively, raise children in a safe and auspicious environment.
We are proud of our beautiful Homeland – 65 years ago our people heroically defended freedom and made an enormous contribution to the Great Victory against the Nazis.
I am convinced that the nation’s wellbeing depends largely on our ability to work and fulfil our duties before the state, to find new solutions to everyday issues.
I wish you new accomplishments, health, happiness, prosperity, success and optimism. May this holiday give you energy and confidence in achieving your goals for the benefit of our dear Fatherland.
