On 14 April, the President of the Republic of Belarus issued Ordinance No. 7 on introducing amendments and additions to Ordinance No. 3 “On Denationalisation and Privatisation of State Property in the Republic of Belarus”.
Under this document, privatisation of government-owned facilities shall be conducted via three-year plans which will be approved by the Government and the Council of Ministers.
The selling of shares of open joint stock companies that have been set up during denationalisation and privatisation, will be carried out through competitions and auctions.
In addition, the state relinquishes its privilege to acquire shares in charter funds of commercial organisations in the process of privatisation. |
