This Decree was drawn up in pursuance of the presidential instruction given on 29-30 November 2007 in the course of the regular seminar of the senior officials representing national and local authorities. The topic of the seminar was “Revival of Small and Medium Towns and Villages: the Priority Objective of the Social and Economic Development of the Country”.

The purpose of this Decree is to ensure an increase in quality of technically-sophisticated goods produced in Belarus, namely transport vehicles, tractors and their units, walk-behind tractors, motor cultivator, combine harvesters and other agricultural and industrial machinery (with the exception of the products used for military purposes).

This document is aimed at ensuring protection of rights and legitimate interests of Belarusian corporate entities and individual entrepreneurs who acquire these goods with business purposes; it also aims to enhance the responsibility of the producers and sellers (suppliers).
