Dear countrymen,

I wholeheartedly congratulate you on Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

This holiday has an inseparable link with one of the most important events in Belarusian history: the liberation of our Motherland from the Nazi invaders.

Our today’s achievements are based on the spirit of the unconquered people who together with the other peoples of the Soviet Union made the decisive contribution into saving the humanity from the brown plague.

We will let nobody desecrate the Great Victory gained through strenuous inconceivable efforts at the cost of the life of every third Belarusian.

Since those heroic days, Belarus has walked a glorious path of labour and creation. We have managed to create a sovereign state with a stable dynamic economy, advanced science and rich culture, which high authority has been recognised throughout the world.

Today’s generation of Belarusians continues worthily the traditions of the immortal exploit of the Liberation, reaches new highs and gains new historic achievements, is confident of the future.

Good health to you, wellbeing, success in labour in the name of the Motherland.
