On April 19, the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed into action Decree No 190 “On cost estimating procedure for cultural properties.”
The document has been elaborated with a view to regulating the cost estimating procedure for the cultural properties available in the library stock of the Republic of Belarus, the National Archives, included in the museum stock or recommended, in accordance with the established procedure, for the status of historical and cultural property.
The Decree establishes the procedure, criteria and registration of the results of the cost appraisal.
The provisions laid down in the Decree make it possible for legal entities and natural persons, individual entrepreneurs to assess cultural properties for internal needs and to use the data obtained in estimating the detriment costs in the event of loss, theft, destruction, damage, in appraising the hypothecation value of the properties under consideration. |
