On 15 October, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed Decree No 498 “On Additional Measures Related to the Work with Petitions from Citizens and Legal Entities”.

The document introduces qualitatively new approaches to the work with petitions from citizens and legal entities in governmental organisations and is aimed at enhancing the responsibility of public officials for timely and comprehensive consideration of the issues set forth in the petitions.
