Every year, the Republic of Belarus commemorates the Remembrance Day in memory of the internationalist warriors.

The significance of the feat of arms of soldiers and officers in the hot spots of the planet has always been beyond any doubt in our country. Your intentions were pure.

Hundreds of our compatriots have not returned home from Afghanistan. Immortal are the names of those who had perished. We will remember them as heroes who had remained loyal to the Motherland and military oath.

Nowadays, the veterans of combat operations, the internationalist warriors are reliable helpers in building a strong and prosperous Belarus. You have been making an important contribution to the patriotic education of citizens, to maintaining accord and stability in the society. The state gives a high assessment to these activities. It provides all possible support to those who had been seared by war in peaceful times.

I thank you for your courage and tenacity, for your active and responsible civil position.

On the day of remembrance and mourning, I wish you, dear internationalist warriors, your families and relatives, happiness, good health, successes in labour for the benefit of our Fatherland.
