On appraisal activities in the Republic of Belarus

On October 13, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed into action Decree No 615 “On appraisal activities in the Republic of Belarus.”

The document envisages the setting up of an integrated system to control appraisal activities in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the strict regulation of the authority of all the legal-right holders, and, primarily, based on the delimitation of the competence of the Head of State, the Government, and the republican bodies of state administration in this area of activities.

In this connection, the Decree rules that the President of the Republic of Belarus shall determine the state policy in the field of appraisal activities, the Government shall implement this policy, shall exercise control over the work of the republican bodies of state administration in this field, shall specify the methods for appraisal of the objects of civil rights in carrying out certain types of transactions with them.
