On calling the election to the local councils of deputies of the Republic of Belarus of the twenty-fifth convocation

On October 10, the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed into action Decree No 607 which fixes 14 January 2007 as the date for the elections to the local councils of deputies of the Republic of Belarus of the twenty-fifth convocation.

The government bodies, other organizations have been charged to ensure implementation of the relevant organizational arrangements for the preparation and conduct of elections to the local councils of deputies within the terms specified in the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The spendings for the preparation and holding of the elections will be financed by the Council of Ministers from the republican budget.
