1. Geographical location
Mogilev Free Economic Zone is situated in the eastern part of Belarus in the city of Mogilev, which is the administrative, industrial and cultural centre of Mogilev region. Mogilev is located on the river Dnieper; distance to Russian border is 80 km; total number of inhabitants is more than 360 thousand people. The industrial production of Mogilev region is characterized by its stable growth; among the most developed sectors are chemical and petrochemical, food industries, machine-building and metal-working, as well as construction materials industry.
Mogilev FEZ was created by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 66 of January 31, 2002. Mogilev FEZ consists of eight lots with the total area of 2,108 hectares, with a highly developed engineering and transport infrastructure available.
Goals and objectives of FEZ "Mogilev"
- To increase economic welfare of the population of Mogilev and Mogilev region by creating new efficient production
- To attract foreign and domestic investments for implementation of investment projects in Mogilev FEZ
- To create the most favourable economic conditions for the residents of Mogilev FEZ
Terms of investments :
- Investments into the project implementation equal to no less than EUR 1 mn;
- Creation and/or development of export oriented and/or import substituting production.

• Real estate tax. Not paid on the objects within the territory of Mogilev FEZ
• VAT. 10% - on import-substituting goods sold in Belarus; 0% - on export sales
Customs preferences
• 100% exemption from paying customs duties on raw materials, equipment and components imported to the territory of Free Customs Zone (FCZ defined for each resident individually)
• 100% exemption from paying customs duties on final products sold:
1. outside the Customs Union ;
2. to the Customs Union if recognized as domestic goods (till January 1, 2017);
3. to other residents of free economic zones in the Customs Union.
Highly skilled personnel
• Competitive system of higher education and vocational training (7 universities, 21 technical schools, 48 vocational schools and colleges in Mogilev region)
State registration and registration as a resident of Mogilev FEZ (if a business plan is ready) will be completed in no more than 14 workdays.

Currently over 30 investment projects are being implemented in Mogilev FEZ in such industries as chemical , woodworking, machine-building, pulp-and-paper, and construction materials industry.
