On Patent Fees

On August 24, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed into action Decree No 513 “On Patent Fees.”

The document aims to improve legal regulation of patenting relations, of registration of industrial property objects (inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, names of places of origin of goods, integrated microcircuit topographies, types of plants).

By this enforceable enactment, the Head of State establishes an exhaustible list of patent fees.

The Decree is the first comprehensive legislative regulation that provides a unified approach to levying patent fees.
