On some measures to improve the waste management involving collection (procurement) and consumption of waste as secondary raw material

On July 10, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed into action Decree No 437 “On some measures to improve the waste management involving collection (procurement) and consumption of waste as secondary raw material.”

The Decree aims to improve the environmental situation and enhance the efficiency of the collection and consumption of waste as secondary raw materials.

The Decree provides for the establishment of the state-owned targeted budgetary fund for the waste management involving collection (procurement) and use of waste as raw material. The Ministry of Trade has been authorized to be the administrator of the fund.

The Decree also sets up a procedure for the formation and use of the fund’s resources in managing the collection and use of waste materials.
