On October 4, President of the Republic of Belarus signed into action Decree No 470 which introduces changes and additions to Decree No 98 of February 18, 2004 “On organizing the recuperation of children abroad on the basis of foreign gratuitous aid.”

The Decree stipulates new rules for recuperation trips of schoolchildren abroad. Only first-to-fourth grades schoolchildren from general secondary education schools and first-to-fifth grades schoolchildren (elementary school) from special education schools may be sent abroad for a period longer than fifteen academic days provided organization of the learning process. However, recuperation of children abroad during the academic period will not require organization of the learning process if the children go abroad in specially organized groups.
