On October 20, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Belarus Alexander Shpilevsky to receive his report.
The Head of State harshly criticized the work of the SCC. In view of the President, the State Customs Committee makes serious organizational and managerial errors in its work, which have led to the worsening of some basic economic indicators of the customs activities.
“The customs bodies are called upon to protect economic interests of the State. Efficiency of their work has a direct impact on replenishment of the profit part of the budget, on welfare of the Belarusian people,” noted the President.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that “if the problems that have emerged in the work of the SCC are not timely dealt with, they are bound to adversely affect economic security of the State.”
