On August 1, President Alexander Lukashenko met with the Chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB), Vadim Zaitsev, to receive his report.
The Head of State wanted to hear the KGB Chairman's assessment of the recent unscheduled inspection of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
During the meeting, the two also discussed the current situation inside and outside Belarus.
The President wanted to know about the progress in the investigation of the April metro blast in Minsk. He said he wanted the trial on this case to start without delay. After the delivery of the report, the President gave the Chairman of the State Security Committee some orders concerning the sphere of activity of the KGB. |
