Dear countrymen,

Allow me to convey to you my warm greetings on the occasion of the 1st of May, a holiday of springtime renewal, bright hopes and creative labour.

Our towns and villages are getting ever nicer due to the efforts and talents of the Belarusians; new modern factories and plants are being built; the social sector has been continuously improved; the independence of the dear Fatherland has been consolidated.

We are facing a new task today, which is to embrace the technology-based development model for the national economy and the country as a whole. The entrepreneurial skills and initiative of each and every person are largely responsible for the future of Belarus.

It is my conviction that by uniting our efforts we will overcome any difficulties and obstacles.

On this day we are giving glory to the foremost workers and all the people who are contributing to the prosperity of our country.

May the warmth of this wonderful holiday give you and your families and loved ones a springtime mood and optimism, strength for new labour victories.
