The Decree issued by the Head of State has established a post of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Republic of Belarus at the National Assembly and specified the powers and responsibilities of the person assuming this post.

According to the Decree, the plenipotentiary representative shall ensure interaction of the Head of State with the Houses of the Parliament, shall attend and take the floor at their sittings, explain the position of the President on matters submitted for examination by the Parliament, and perform other functions upon instructions from the Head of State.

Establishment of the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President at the Parliament is aimed at fulfillment of the constitutional powers of the Head of State and it will facilitate the improvement of the system of power in the entire republic.
